Some highlights:

There’s a single transmission, a six-speed manual, now fitted with active rev matching, which the Bullitt will share with all manual-equipped GTs for 2019. It’s a sweetheart, too, snapping off smooth, precise shifts even if its gearing is ultralong. Third gear, in fact, is good for well beyond 100 mph, making canyon runs an almost entirely single-gear endeavor. And that is where this Mustang shines, with immediate responses from its steering and brakes; only small, precise inputs are required to make impressive speed. Six-piston front Brembo calipers are part of the package, and they tolerate even an immodest beating well. - C&D
Although most of the Bullitt’s hardware is borrowed from the Mustang GT, it sounds different—feels different. Its tug at low revs seems a half-step short of the base GT that I drove recently, but the Bullitt reaches and aches for more throttle from me more often in ways the GT never could. A revised throttle map will do that. - MA
The Bullitt drives like a smartly optioned Mustang GT. It benefits from the same optimal balance of comfort and handling, especially with the adaptive MagneRide shocks. The steering effort and feedback feel great, and the brakes are reassuring and trustworthy. The active exhaust is slightly more aggressive than the already boisterous system available on the GT, encouraging you to stay in lower gears to allow the engine to snarl and roar. With perfectly executed automatic rev-matched downshifts, you'll find yourself grabbing for second and third gears far more often than you normally would. It's irresistible in tunnels.

On the pragmatic side, the Bullitt is easier to live with than the Chevrolet Camaro and livelier than the Dodge Challenger. The Bullitt hits the Goldilocks zone between the two, but convenience is secondary to how this car makes you feel. There's a sense of occasion. You're constantly aware that you're driving something special and that feeling makes you feel special, too. - Edmunds

This is a great quote, thanks for highlighting it Jarstang: "There's a sense of occasion. You're constantly aware that you're driving something special and that feeling makes you feel special, too." - Edmunds

Couldn't agree more. Only about 100 more miles to go until I can take mine to redline and experience this car over 4,500 rpm. Hoping to post my own review next week. It's interesting the Car and Driver article mentions some sound coming from the speakers. I haven't noticed that in my driving, primarily because the exhaust is so loud I'm not sure why there would be a need for it.

And stunning pics:
Most of those pics have been on Ford's website for about 2 months now, just in relatively low resolution.

Apparently the journalists have received them in high def now. Autoblog currently posts the biggest versions, although still reduced in size. The hunt for the originals continues :)

Only 100 miles?! I would be thinking, "Man, there is this really awesome ice cream stand exactly 100 miles away, and I'm going to have to drive damn fast to get it home before it melts." :D

Couldn't agree more. That line says it all about this car.

Don't need any more words than that...….

I notice that the Automobile Magazine (and maybe others as well ) stated early in the review that the Bullitt would be getting a 3.55:1 rear end. I thought these cars were coming with the 3.73 rear end. Clarification please.

Yes it's hard to take some of these guys seriously , when they can't get the facts strait. Many of the reviews have incorrect info. I think it's the same review, he even trash talks the Michelin's, which based on the reviews I have read are probably the best street UHP tire you can get. Sure the Sport Cup 2 is a better performing tire in the dry, bust most street cars also drive in the rain.

Haha well it all comes down to free time. With a busy schedule working from home and other personal obligations, I don't have too many opportunities to just go driving for the fun of it anymore unfortunately. Hopefully I can get a better work/life balance eventually.

Yeah, it's painful seeing some of these people get this awesome opportunity when they don't care about the movie or the car enough to get their facts straight. This experience is bucket-list type stuff for us Bullitt fans and would have gone down as an unforgettable experience.
