i considering installing voodo heads on my 2015 gt convertible for added street power.
It currently has GT350 intake and TB, JTL cold air intake, Stainless works long tube headers, stock resonator, ford racing axel back, and a custom tune by CRT in Norwalk, OH.
On his dyno it made 437 hp at 7500 rpm.
The car is used for date night, short and long driving trips. We do 1000 mile 3 day weekends and I want to maintain the ability to set the cruise at 85 and just go!
CRT felt the 5.2 heads on my current set up would be close to 500 rear wheel hp.
Anybody have any advice or experience?

If you do decide to I would get upgraded camshafts with lockouts.

Ok
Explain which cams and rockers sets are best given my goals of keeping the power band in the lower rpm ranges.
Any guides on expense of cam/rockers?
Does anyone offer a kit of the package?

If you want low end, you shouldn't be doing ANYTHING Voodoo engine related. The GT350 intake is actually a worse performer than the Coyote intake below 3000 RPM. In fact, engine to engine, the Voodoo has as much of a 50lb ft disadvantage from about 2500 - 3000 RPM. It's not until about 3200 does the Voodoo really wake up. There is an 80lb ft difference between 3200 and 3500 RPM. The further you dig into Voodoo engine parts, the further your torque band moves to the right on the dyno graph.

Not to be a dbag but I think you need to stop for a moment and consider what you want. Do you want high RPM peak numbers or do you want low end grunt? With the amount of money you already spent plus what you're willing to spend ($4000 for Voodoo heads + $1500 for cams + $500 for rockers), you should have just went supercharged and had all the low and mid range in the world.

If you want a strong N/A performer, I would look into JPC.

They sell ported heads and cam kits. They can point you in the right direction for what you are after.

Agreed. Cam and heads pairing is not as easy as simply looking at an engine and saying because it worked for one, it'll work for another. Those LS guys have it unusually easy, swapping from LS2 to LS6 heads or matching an LS3 cam with LS6 heads etc etc. That is a very rare thing for franken-swapping to be so effective.

I have the GT 350 heads paired with sleeved 5.2 coyote short blocks on both my GT’s(Hellion TT and 3.2 KB)
The valves on the GT 350 heads will be shrouded unless you go to bigger bore piston .

You can use stock or aftermarket GT cams(I have stock) but you will need to use the MMR modified rocker arms for them to work .

If you use the Ford racing GT 350 spec cams (same lift and duration as the OEM GT 350 cams but GT firing order) you will need to use the OEM. GT 350 rocker arms .

If you use the stock GT oil pump you will need to swap the oil restrictors in the heads to the same ones used in GT heads or you will get oil pressure issues (low).

I have a set of used GT 350 heads I could be persuaded to sell for less than new .

You can not use stock or aftermarket GT cams in Voodoo heads. The intake valves on voodoo heads are relocated ( spread) as are the lobes on the cams. The only cams available to fit Voodoo heads on a coyote are from Ford Racing and use std voodoo profiles.

The modified rocker arms are $329 if you want to use the stock GT (or aftermarket) cams .

I did the spring upgrade (easier to do now than once they are in the car )- there is a cheaper version for $499
http://www.modularmotorsportsracing...in_page=product_info&cPath=80&products_id=854

If you choose to use the Ford racing GT 350 spec cams I think they can be had for as low $1250
http://www.modularmotorsportsracing...page=product_info&cPath=26_27&products_id=893

In which case you will need the OEM GT 350 rockers arms which are more expensive - about $550.

Of course you will need heads which are about $3500 a pair .
I know I may be crazy but I am considering building one of my “ spare” short blocks into a 5.2 Alluminator XS long block (uses the GT 350 spec cams)using a spare set of GT 350 heads .

The GT350 intake manifold/TB/intake is actually pretty even with the stock Coyote manifold below 3,000rpm: tuned for tuned:

https://motoiq.com/tested-ford-mustang-gt-power-packs-1-3/8/

It's the mid-range from 3-6,000rpm where the stock manifold has gains over the gt350 manifold, but above 6k, the gt350 manifold screams and kills the stock manifold.

why not just buy the Aluminator 5.2 XS.

It's basically a Voodoo with a Coyote crank.
Makes 60hp more than the Voodoo as well...
