Yeah, I'm just stirring the pot LOL. I've not actually suffered heatsoak that I know of. I live in AZ and it's gonna be like 116 degrees today. My only real issue is these guys who just go on and on about their cars and how FAST they are.

Hahahahaha only time my IAT go over outside temp is when I’m sitting in traffic not moving oh wait all cars do that. Once I get moving and give it gas they go way down. Unlike a centri

Sounds like you do not understand what heat soak is. Maybe the forum will teach you.

Keep it civil folks. I have had to delete a lot of posts and that should not have to happen. Knock off the profane insults please.

My whipple is only 20 degrees over ambient when cruising and goes up about 10 degrees on a hard pull...

No that can’t be true. ——centri owners LOL
Centris aren't bad, plenty of 9 second 6r80 cars with them but to say they're better than a Gen 3 whipple? nah lol

Try a big centri on the 2018 GT auto 10 speed. This will change your mind. I mean if you’re gonna have a belt better to not have the heat soak.

Is that a logged 1/4mile run? A 1 gear pull is not the same

My air temp goes from 77 at the starting line to 111 when I let off.

Not that I want to get too involved in this fantastic argument thread, but I do have logged IAT2 data on my Whipple setup. I see temps sitting in traffic heat soak to about 130F on a hot day and rarely go any higher. I have a log where I started a 2nd gear roll on a 95 degree day at about 125F, and by the top of 4th I was at 118F. I have another on a cooler 72 degree day where I started at about 125F again, and ended at 104F by the top of 4th. The highest I have ever seen my setup heat soak to was about 140F, but as soon as I start moving in traffic, it settles right back to 130F.

I have the upgraded heat exchanger filled with 50/50 Ford coolant, no fans. This is IAT2/MCT data logged with HP tuners.
