How to re-install stock exhaust?

How can I re-install stock exhaust back after they have been cut to install aftermarket exhaust with clamps such as Roush Axlebacks? The aftermarket exhaust are placed above the stock exhaust pipe so they sre bigger. I was thinking of using exhaust leak tape and then tighten the gap with the clamps.

Just take them to a muffler shop and between 50 and 75 buck they will weld the OEM unit back in place and make it as good and new

Should be mig or tig welded
