Yes the Lloyd mats shed profusely and the heel area wears quite easily. Not impressed. I used them for a few months and couldn't take it anymore.
I ended going with these 3D MAXpider mats and I really like them. They are textured and more rubber like surface feel unlike the typical Husky brand (although those are the only brand I would use in my Tahoe). I did however make two mods by trimming out the area around the dead pedal and I removed the little logo they come with. Easy to remove and clean as well.

Gray Area, do the 3D's have a retention device for the carpet peg or a hole for the peg to fit through?
Yes they do. The bottom of the mat also has some grippy surface to it as well.

My wife bought me mats for Christmas 2016. She found them on facebook - they have the official GT350 logo. They still look great after ~3K miles - The only picture I had handy. I think these are them:

http://www.southeastcarbonworks.com/gt350/2016-17-shelby-gt350-mustang-front-floor-mat-set#

I also bought a plain 4 piece set of Lloyds mats, just for the rears.
Good recommendation. I was looking at the Lloyds mats and preferred the version with the logo. But the logo faced the opposite direction. I will be ordering a set from SE Carbonworks.

Add me to the list of people that are disappointed in the quality of Lloyds mats. I have had them installed for a little less then 1,000 miles and the driver's side is pretty matted under my heel.

I'm curious, how many of you purchased these Lloyd mats based on what you read in this forum (as opposed to previous purchases for other makes/models)?

I can tell you that I WONT be purchasing the lloyds mats because of what I've read on this forum. I'm really glad the OP started this thread. He's saved me and likely a few other folks some money for a not so great product. I can't speak for anyone else on this forum but for the most part these guys on this forum have good advice on most every part made for our cars. It's a good place to see the pros and cons of products out there from first hand experience, just my opinion tho

If anyone can recommend a better quality floor mat with the GT350 logo on it, I'm all ears.

Did you see post #39? That’s what I’m going with. It clearly states better than Lloyd’s

So I went ahead and ripped the snake logo out and used epoxy to put it on my OEM Matt. It really came out nice.

Although Lloyd mat quality is indeed suspect (I remember the fuzzballs well), you could always resort to one of these:

http://www.heelpadwarehouse.com/mini-heel-pad-5-3-4-x-11/

I've got a set of relatively rare Ford Racing mats in my '15 (before they switched to Ford Performance branding on all the S550 stuff early on) and was paranoid about wearing them out, but wanted to use them. I took one of these pads and put velcro strips across it and simply stuck it to the carpet of the mat. Problem solved, and you hardly notice it.

Got the Matt's in and let me tell you they are incredible quality. Nothing like the garbage Lloyd's.
