Drove my 2015 GT to Michigan yesterday, about a 6 hour round trip with my wife. When curse control set between 75 and 82 noticed the car had a slight mis in the engine. On the way home the check engine light came on with continued slight jerking from the engine not running smoothly.
I had a real bad experience in 2016 with the rear wheel studs breaking off leaving us stranded in the middle of WY so felt best not to say anything to my wife.
After I got home popped the hood with engine running and could hear a vacuum leak as I suspected. At the back of the Gt350 intake a 3/16" rubber was chewed open for 2"! The mouse had been snacking and left all of the small hunks of rubber piled up.
I park the car in a multi use barn including horses so this means the mouse war begins!

Brilliant!!! Got to order this. Those little bastards are good for nothing but destruction and grief.

I don't like poisons because pets might get into it or even eat a mouse that ate it...

Rolling log looks like it works.

Poison is bad news. Pets, wildlife, and even kids can be put in danger.

Old fashion snap traps and those water pits are much better.

So... now that I feel like the devil, hahah

In the city, so no wild life - no deer, raccoons, wolfs, fox, etc... Maybe the random stray cat but not in my garage. No kids, mine or otherwise, and my cats are house cats.

Gotta weight the pros and cons - damage to a 35k+ car or kill the random rabbit or squirrel by accident. I'm siding with the car.

I put 2 of the plug in ultrasonic vermin deterrents in the garage. So far, no sign of any mice for the first time in years. And bonus, the spiders that were living in my ceiling lights crapping all over the cars have left as well. Not bad for 20 bucks from Scamazon.

Con, mouse eats poison, gets in your house and your cat eats it and dies. (Mice are in your house)

Mice also die in your walls and cause a stink.

Con, mouse eats poison and hawk eats mouse and dies. (Or any other bird of prey like owls etc)

Poison is bad.

last year, my a/c stopped working. They ate up my a/c compressor clutch wiring. Luckily nothing has happened since, fingers crossed.
Had to make a insurance claim and they covered the cost, minus my deductible.

Moved the truck and they got into it also!
Big nest under the plastic Eco boost cover, they chewed up the under hood insulation.
Have 15 traps set and two rolling traps on order!

People say bounce dryer sheets are a deterrent.....also peppermint oil.
Stuff them around the engine compartment. Smells spring fresh!
