Just a tidbit of info - a warranty claim for peeling paint on my R wheels was denied because of my decision to use aftermarket lugnuts and "over torquing" said lugnuts. Keep that in mind... Not at all happy with this baseless decision on Ford's part.

TLDR: proceed with caution
note to self... put everything *including lug nuts* back to factory before going in for any dealer service.

question: is the paint peeling where the lug contacts the hole?

Yes, just outside of where the aluminum lug inserts register on the CF face.

has anyone here used aftermarket lugs on the OEM GT350 wheels? I would like to get splined lugs but not sure of the seat will work on these wheels or not. Anyone?

*EDIT* Sorry Tomster, I missed your first suggestion. I actually had a locking solution provided from a quality manufacturer, as I don't trust $10K to a single locking lug. As for torque - since I've heard some have issues with snapping lugs at 150, I stopped at 135 ft. lbs.
As an aside, the salesman of my current car suggested no more than 90 foot pounds on locking nuts-at least the Ford version. After talking to several others at the dealership, they said he was the go to guy regarding info. So we talked and he agreed. Apparently he has owned 17 or so over the years,by no means making him an expert, but he is as unassuming as they come.
He had seen lugs with locks snapped upon removal when tightened to 150.(This applies to non-GT350 wheels-I didn't address 350s specifically)

DO NOT tighten GT350 wheels to 90 ft lbs.

You guys are hilarious. I appreciate the various nut pictures.. I am tired of destroying these Factory nuts. The Ford nuts are far too easy to crush.

The gorilla nuts you torque to 150 ft lb?

Do you have a part number for the ones that you're using? I really like your nuts

Same part number as above. I torqued mine to 150 and also my factory to 150 and had no issues with either.
