Just wanted to make a quick post about my Transmission cooler install.

Parts I used:

Weldon Racing 9200 pump
OEM Cooler
OEM forward lines
Earls hardline to AN fitting
Aeroquip (2) -8AN straight push lock
Aeroquip (2) -8AN 45 push lock
Aeroquip (2) -8AN 90 push lock
Aeromotive (2) 1/2 NPT to -8AN
Aeroquip socketless AQP lines 15' (used 10')
Aeroquip line hangers
(2) hose separators
Hose mount bracket (used an L bracket, mounted under transmission using existing threaded holes.)
Painless performance Relay kit
Dorman rocket switch (LED)
Dephi weatherpack connecter (+ crimper)
Various wiring parts, tools.
Hose cutter
Bolts, nuts, washers.
Fabricated mount for the pump. (I used (2) 5"x1"x1/8" stainless plates, drilled holes and tapped threads in one side to sandwich the pump T-Clamp onto the lower engine frame, right under the front sway bar. It was the only location I could find that limited the amount of line used and still be in the location of where the forward line ends. It wasn't the first place I wanted to mount it, but I didn't have the tools to make one.)
Amsoil ATF fluid

This is about all I can think of for parts.

I made a short video here. #### ####

Used the factory lines as well; makes all the difference in routing through the engine bay. Another tech pack comes to life!

Thanks everyone. Picked up a lot of info on this forum so I'll try and share as much information as I can. I ran into a number of road blocks for sure. Tools being limited, it was a struggle to make a bracket, and put the fittings in the hose. It's doable with hand tools and a little bit of imagination.

Tracked it today. Was consistent at 190. The last session it went to 210, but I think that was because I forgot to turn it on the first lap. Was in the hight 70's. Id call that a success. Just need to change the Diff fluid now.

Awesome, another tech on the track! I definitely recommend changing the diff oil as mine looked murky and dark black after 1 autocross and 2 track sessions.

Nice job, clean install. Do you remember what size Earl's hardline to AN fitting you used? Particularly the hardline size. Thx.

I used a 1/2" to -8an male hardline adapter.

Side_Pce--a few questions for you:
- What modifications did you have to make to the OEM forward lines? How much did you cut? Do you have the part numbers for the adapters?

- Do you have the part number for the L-shaped hose bracket?

- Where did you position the relay?

Thanks much!

I made cuts on the straight bits of the line with a pipe cutter, staggering the cuts so the fittings didn’t hit each other.

I don’t have the L bracket part # off hand.

The relay is tricky, but not hard to set up. You’re better off buying an all weather relay and mounting it somewhere in the enginebay. I mounted it under the pass side dash with a machine screw. Worked fine enough.

Nice job!

Anyone know if the factory setup is constantly cycling transmission fluid, or if it's temp specific? I wonder if you could do away with the rocket switch if you could set up a temp switch to trigger the pump.

The 16' track packs and 17'-18' constantly cycle fluid in the transmission. The rear axle is temp controlled.

You can set up a temp switch to trigger the relay but I only use it if I'm tracking the car or on a hot day so I didn't feel the need to try and set that up.
