Anyone else think the exhaust is too raspy?

I love the sound as it's a unique combination of American Muscle and Exotic FPC - makes for a very special ownership experience especially from 5000-8250rpm, quite a rush.

I put nearly 20,000 miles on a GT350 with resonators pulled (same as R). If I didn't want to hear it I could turn it off with the sport button. I wouldn't recommend it as the best daily driver as it is very loud and does attract attention (sometimes LEO) but this is without a doubt one of the greatest products to come out of Detroit in 25 years. Enjoy it.

I don't find the exhaust too raspy per se but do wish it had more of the traditional flat crank ripping fabric wail. There is still a good deal of low rumble mixed into the sound, but that said I do enjoy it (driving in sport mode most of the time) since I don't think any fundamental changes can really be made since it is a function of the way the firing order, intake and exhaust all work together.

The GT350 exhaust I have heard in numerous You Tube videos is glorious in the upper RPM range.

I regret changing my R exhaust to a Kooks exhaust. I can't change back now though but wouldn't do it again given the choice.

The R, imo, was perfect.

Nope, love the sound. It is one of the biggest pluses for this car, compared to its competitors. Mine never leaves sport mode unless it is really, really early, or really, really late (and then only in my neighborhood.

Everyone's perception of what rasp even is or how raspy it is is different. I came from a M3/4 and those are raspy. On my M4 I put a non resonated Remus exhaust on it and it made it worse in some parts of the RPM range. So no, I don't think the GT350 has any rasp based on my experience.

The man has a point. There is no perfect performance car if you have not noticed. There are numerous complaints about the GT350's exhaust note as well as the annoying lack of low end grunt with the flat plane crank config. The GT350/R is a fantastic product but it is not without faults.
Numerous? I'm sure there are a few, but this car is almost (as close as it comes) to being universally complimented for its sound.

As for the lack of low end grunt, I think that is a bit over blown. Yes the power band is obviously in the upper RPM ranges, but it really isn't that bad down low.

But, I do agree no car is perfect and it is up to the individual what imperfections they can or can't live with.

Lol - no low end grunt? It makes virtually the same power as a 5.0L coyote until 3,500rom where it blows it away. Sounds like some people need to buy a GT500.
