2018 Mustang Undercarriage

There are many complaints about the active exhaust on some car forums. The butterfly valve is apparently rattling with changing temperatures on the exhaust and causing a headache on constant throttle highway drives. Anyone had an experience like that?

I am fine with a plastic oil pan. It you hit just about anything solid with your metal pan it is going to break things anyways.

Don't suppose you were able to spot if the rear top mounts were as they are now? Only ask as hoping my Steeda rear shock mounts will work with the mag ride.

Any amount of weight saving from the composite pan (especially upfront) is surely a good thing

I was just wondering how long those magneride shocks & struts are supposed to last. They better be good for 100K miles at that cost.

I didn't look at them specifically, but I was chatting with the Ford Engineer and he said that nothing was changed with the IRS on the 2018 (supposedly).

"Composite" oil pan. Plastic sounds cheap, composite sounds like the stuff they use on jet fighters.

It is not plastic. It is a composite as it is infused with carbon fibers for strength.

About time they updated/graded to the GT350 style oil pan/pump set up!

looks like most everything is the same cept for some subtle changes. I can't tell if the driver side cat is welded to the exhaust manifold or if it can be separated? (2015-2017 its all together)
