No one said that.

We're talking about the fact that the ECUs are supposed to be locked/encrypted, so tuning can't be done.

Pay attention son.
Is not that tunning can't be done, I will just be delayed.

Who is trying to tear down the 2018? Do you guys even read my posts?

"
Well FINALLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always said it would be anywhere in the 465-475 range.
Came under what I expected from Ford but Very Very Well
Done FORD !! Not disappointing, also BRAVO on 0-60 times.
Can't wait to see 1/4 times. Still not regretting my 2017 purchase
Plan on adding: Long tube Headers, Borla Catback Exhaust & Tune
and CAI. Should put me very well in 2018 territory.

For all you that waited to buy a 2018 I say your patience has been
rewarded. Enjoy your future purchase !!!

What we know:
All I am saying is this: Whole new engine & 10 speed transmission.

What we don't know:

1. What all those options will cost - total price
2. How reliable it will be.
3. Aftermarket mod compatibility.
4. How well we can tune.

All very rational & logical questions to ask. ;)

To me it's bittersweet. I was expecting a little more but the car hasn't yet been dynoed so we'll have to see if they left anything up their sleeve. That 0-60 improvement is pretty insane for not that big of a power bump. I was going to get a 2018 but now I'm really not sure. Probably going to cross shop it it against the M3.

an M3 should be compared with a gt350 in term of price

? The mustang does not get quite the power bump you were hoping for so you are going to look at a much more expensive and less powerful vehicle?

The m3 is a great car, but seems a weird reason to cross-shop against one.

It's all about the tires they are putting on it. Way better than the turds they have on the PP now. That and the transmission/launch control. But lot's has to do with the tires.

I wouldn't ... not after the M3/M4 crank hub spinning issue:

Between E36 oil pump nut issues, E46 rod bearing/VANOS issues, E92 rod bearing/VANOS/throttle actuator issues, E60 rod bearing/VANOS/throttle actuator issues, and now F80 crank hub spinning issues I wouldn't touch a modern M motor.

Reliability

Guess for those worried about reliability, Ford celebrated 10,000 miles by taking it to the strip!

i like it.. but as i was afraid of, to get the few features i actually cared about it throws it into a $45k price point... sigh.. so my decision on what to buy between this and a challenger TA 392 didnt get any easier at all.
