I know I know, you read the thread title and instantly thought to say "Corsa!"

That wasn't this, as I've heard a Corsa Xtreme in person before. I was driving to lunch today and an S550 GT passed by going the opposite direction accelerating slowly. I kid you not, it did not sound like any GT I've ever heard before. Whatever was on this car made it almost seem like there were two V8 soundtracks overlapped. Very exotic and un-American V8 sounding. I don't imagine anyone is doing 180 degree headers for this car as I don't see there being enough room, but I just can't think of what else could make that kind of sound.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately I couldn't turn around and follow it as it was a divided road.

Maybe it was a GT350? Quite a different exhaust note out of the FPC

GT350 with a flat-plane crank V-8. Sounds totally different from a standard V-8.

I could have sworn it wasn't a GT350. I see numerous Mustangs every day in the area I work so I'm pretty good at picking them out.

Yup!
You can hear the GT350 out of a crowd of cars, it is that distinct.

I have longtubes,no cats with the corsa sport cat back with the double helix mid pipe. sounds waay different than any 5.0 I have heard or had before. almost has a gt350ish note to it.

Yeah, catless headers and corsa extremes. Even driving very lightly it has a very different sound, the gt350 manifold and e85 changed the tone a little too. People pull up all the time when I'm driving, then back away, like if they are curious what it is.

I'm having catted kooks installed installed in a month or so when my cams come in. They will be paired with the corsa sport catback I currently have installed. I'll let you know how "exotic" it sounds.
