Kooks from Maryland Speed, better price than the other vendors on here when I bought mine.
The pro shop that installed mine said that kooks was one of only headers that doesn't always require tweeking.

I went with ARH catted longtubes. They have a very long history of success and quality. I dropped mine off on Monday to get them heat coated in black. I'll probably install them when I get more miles on the car and I'm ready to tune it.

Any trouble with the O2 extensions ?
not that i know of, everything looks great. i used arp header bolts as well because the guy who did the install had them for his twin turbo 5.0 but didnt use the, so he sold them to me for 50 bucks and he was only charging me about 200 (friend of a friend discount) to install the headers.

Best price I got when shopping for headers was from American Muscle.
Got 1 7/8 Kooks Catted long tube headers for $1170 shipped.
When a lot of people sell the same thing, vendors will compete with one another

Look at the BBK ceramics. They've worked out great for me and meet your budget concerns. Got mine on AM.

My Kook's went in without any major issues. No clearance problems, no nothing. I was gonna do this ONCE, so I wanted the good stuff. I'm sure I would've been happy with ARH or SW as well, but I got a good price on the Kook's.
