I have a sneaky suspicion that this bias ply tire is "too much" for my car. With a 3.55 rear gear and this being a 28" tire, my overall drive ratio is not optimal with the amount of power (lack of) I make. These tires are pulling the engine rpm down at launch and it's taking longer for it to recover those lost rpms with this tall of a tire. My best run was a 12.2 at 115. 2 weeks ago on my shorter, worn down drag radials I ran 11.9 at 117. Last year with headers and radials I ran 11.6-11.7 at 119-120 mph.

I have a 3.73 available for testing!

The 28" bias ply witll give you a great launch just air it down and hit it hard . I launch at 6k with 10 psi in the tire .
THIS... get those RPMS up I am a 3.31 car on 28in Hoosiers and it does fine launching at 6k. Gt350 mani, stock exhaust, stock intake box/tube left lane. D/A was about 2900 feet

I am running Bracket Racers all around, GTBOB I am screaming through the traps at 7900 in third lol... tried short shifting to 4th, lost 1mph and a tenth. I have a boosted guy that may swap his 3.73s with me, if not I will go with US gears 3.91s. 1.6 60s are tough with 3.31s I usually pull low 1.7s.

Same here! My Mph in 1/8 varies from 91-94 because it is right towards the end of 3rd and if I hold out the shift it puts me at the 94mph mark.

I'm getting ready to switch to GT350 IM so I don't know exactly where that will put me......It has been increased from Lund now, so Im sure they will move it around 8400 or so.

Dont think they can go quite that high, the stock PCM is limited to lower.

I had 3.73s and never had an issue in the 8th, my best 8th mile pass when i was N/A was a 7.3 I believe. I ran an 11.4@119 N/A with the 28 inch tall tires and 3.73s. This was also on stock intake manifold.

Anyone know the "REVS PER MILE" for this MT Bias ply. Thanks in advance. Mine came in waiting on my wheels to come.

I've tested the tires at a local 8th Mile strip....and needless to say they seemed to hook due to the fact that I sheared 2 front-rear diff bolts from the Steeda diff bushing kit which also caused the driveshaft to score against my parking brake. I'll need a new driveshaft before testing once again with upgraded 12.9 diff bolts that Kelly@BMR hooked me up with over the weekend along with some Viking Shocks. So far, the tires seem to have hooked almost too well after being warmed up haha.

Yesterday morning I drove my car to work, after my car sat in the garage for a week (not a dd). With 25psi in them, they had some pretty good flat spots in them. But this is typical with any bias-ply tire. It took about 10 minutes of driving for the vibration to disappear. Street manners are surprising good even with radial pizza cutters up front.
