I had an '09 and a '12. I'll stick with the s550.

I love the color of my Boss, love the retro look of the Boss and enjoy having a somewhat "raw" Sunday driver. It would take a special car for me to part with my Boss. Not a fan of Ford anymore, so probably my last Mustang.

I had a 77 and 78 Cobra II. Say what you want I still have fond memories of those 2 black sheep. I've even been shopping the classic traders for one. Maybe I'll put another one in my stable.Nah...the 2nd and 4th generation Mustangs were the worst;
When I bought my ruby in December this exact car was still on the showroom floor and I think it still is. No offense but it's kind of tough to sell a slower car for 7k more. I still wanted it for what it's worth, just couldn't justify it.

This . . . and if you've got the mindset of a track rat the simplicity of a S197 becomes a strength.I kept my S197. It's now being turned into my track car.
To me, it is how many Boss 302's do I see a day vs. how many 15, 16, 17 Mustangs do I see. Both are plenty fast, so I choose rare over maybe a tenth faster....When I bought my ruby in December this exact car was still on the showroom floor and I think it still is. Yeah, the tranny is the one thing that will "allow" me to sell it one day. Have not done a single mod, think special editions should be left original, BUT, will probably do a new race spec shifter and clutch. Heard it makes a difference...GHIG boss 302>S550. Shame it only came with an mt-82.
I know it has been done to later S197 cars.I wonder if anybody has Frankenstiened a s550 engine into a '05-09 s197?
Just curious.
