How is liquid metal different from liquid silver?

In the image below you will find a top and bottom comparison of the New Liquid Metal finish found on the FF04 versus the existing Liquid Silver found on the FF15 (and FF01).

It is quite a noticeable difference. The Liquid Metal coating process starts with them shooting black on the wheel, then the face is coated with the new shade of silver and finally the whole wheel is cleared. This process offers a great contrast between the inner barrel of the wheel and really makes the face of the wheel pop.

But the new Liquid Metal color they are using is amazing in person. It almost appears to change colors and tone when you look at it from different angle and under different lighting conditions. Sometimes almost giving a polished look and other times almost a gunmetal, images do not do them justice but the photos we have are a great representation of the finish.
