so i'm going to go look at this tomorrow. they are asking almost MSRP on a canadian import car with almost 6k miles on it. are they insane for wanting this much? what would be a reasonable price for a car from canada? my concern with a canadian car would be any warranty hassle.

please feel free to tell me what you think.

According to my calculations the dealer is trying to profit close to 10k usd based on current exchange rate and used gt350 prices up here, keep this I'm mind and try to negotiate down as much as possible, if it's the car you want

I posted this elsewhere, but there isn't a used GT350 under 56,500 within 100 miles of Chicago. That one has a bit more miles, but seems like it's the norm. I'm thinking of throwing mine on the market.

Off the rocker insane. I wouldn't even bother to look. You can find MSRP deals here in the US for a brand new car.

How does its used value in Canada have anything to do with what it should sell for in the US? It's in the US now and a seller will try to get as much as he can based on the market in the US. This happens all the time with used trucks. American buyers come up to Canada, buy up all the off lease trucks and take them back to the US to sell at a significant profit.

I think the point he was making is that the dealer likely has room to move and still make a profit - so the buyer should try to save some money by negotiating.

well that's just it, it isn't the car i want. i just want to look at it and drive it if i have the opportunity to. i want a magnetic with the track pack spoiler. i would also take white. the avalanche gray is ok, if it was a darker gray i would maybe go for it. but not anything near 58k.

i guess if i get pressured with the old "what is it gonna take to put you in this car today" phrase i'll say something like 45k and you have a deal.

From the CarFax...looks like it has lived the majority of its life in Washington State...cluster replaced (I assume to MPH) at 800 miles.

Since the question hasn't been answered yet, as far as warranty goes, the factory warranty for the car is 100% valid in the US. The same would be true if you bring your US car to Canada.

And on top of that you'd have to deal with our Canadian unit centre gauges...the Oil Temp in Celsius I can deal with... but the Pressure in "BAR" is just goofy...but I guess it's on a scale of 0-10 so easy to read...I'd still prefer PSI!

There are brand new 2016 GT350 Track Pack cars being sold in Western Canada right now for $45,900 USF.

One in Race Red with White OTT stripes and another with my favorite color combination in Shadow Black with Blue OTT stripes.

The Black car only has 8 miles on it and suggest that RR car the same.

Pretty cool deal if a person is dealing in U.S. funds!
