I love my 5.0 and I am glad I finally bought one. Like every car out there it is not perfect but still love it. So as of now this is my small list of complaints to Ford about the Mustang.

cons:
37000 sticker price and no sat radio?? My 19k cruze has it.
No moonroof option due to roof design
Weight has gone up instead of down
QC control issues. My paint and panels are perfect though
This car gets up there in price when fully loaded.
The oil dipstick is garbage
The radio is tiny and crappy because I didn't want to go premium.
These cars are getting BIGGER
6spd could be alot more refined.
I cant hear the engine :(

I think thats it. I love the car, fun to drive. I am getting used to the size of it as well. This is not a bashing, no car is perfect. I have been a GM guy all my life and the Camaro was a big NO for me. Cant wait for the spring and start modding.
Consider yourself lucky you don't have to break out a step ladder to check the oil like us F150 guys! How I would love to have a "talk" with the "engineer" who came up with that design! :paddle:

IMO, a 9/10th scale version of this car would be perfect!

The reason I bring the size issue is that my friend with his 93 notch stopped by to check out my s550 and we were absolutely floored by the size difference. I remember see a pic of the new camaro and a 69 camaro, same thing, huge!

Yeah manufacturers have been playing the numbers game for too long that now we have compact trucks that are the same size as the full size trucks of 20 years ago. Same thing with the cars. Although I can see the allure of having a mustang that can double as a roomy family car, that was not the cars original purpose. I grew up during the fox body era and have seen them just keep on getting bigger and heavier with every redesign. Seems counterproductive in this era of manufacturers that are controlled by CAFE standards.

No. The radio is part of a package I did not want. The car should have not come with a little crappy screen. Down the road I will go aftermarket. It obv was not a deal breaker for me.
It's actually really easy to upgrade it.

You paid 37k for a non-premium car?

NO. Sticker price is one thing and what you pay after negotiating is another. I paid $29,250. Sticker prices was $37250.

So then what's the point of bitching about the sticker price being so high when you got the car for $8k less? As I'm sure you're aware, sticker is just a number...the real cost of the car is what you got it for.

:tsk:

A car that has an MSRP of $37K should have sat radio from the fac. That's my opinion.

IMO, As far as head units are concerned, Ford's Sync 2 and 3 systems have been unrivalled. Even the aftermarket options pale in comparison. Not going premium was a big mistake on your part if you care about your in-car media. Base model radios are always basic, period.

Have you ever heard of inflation? And there are many more improvements to the car than just a radio. Compare the components in the base car today vs. the same Mustang GT that MSRP'd for 25k back in the 90s.

Jesus. I clicked in this thread expecting the OP to be the one complaining but each time I read your responses the Debby Downer sound plays in my head. The dude bought a car and is giving his criticism of it. Nothing wrong with that. Personally, I think some of his complaints are legit. A 37k car with no touch screen OR Sirius is a little chinsy on Fords part. My buddies base Malibu came with a 7" touchscreen that you didn't have drop 4K on other crap to get. Ford seems to agree with OP otherwise they wouldn't be emphasizing all e new tech features the 2018s getting.

A 37k car
You guys seem to have a tough time grasping the concept that this isn't a "37k" car then the bottom line of his purchase agreement is 29k.

The manufacturer can ask whatever they want for the car, hence the "suggested" in MSRP. What he gets the car for, driven by the market and value, is what the the car is. Ford can ask for $1,000,000 MSRP for every Mustang, but if they all sell for $30-$40k then it ain't a "million dollar car" as the MSRP suggests.

I'd tend to agree with you if we weren't already getting a bargain at a "37K" sticker price. This is a performance car with so much engineering value for the money, you can't expect to get unlimited value for your sticker price. The base Chevy Malibu is a poor comparison, everything already sucks for whatever they paid for it, so they have to throw in some options to prevent the purchaser from wanting to kill themselves everyday they realize they're driving a vehicle engineered for mediocrity.

Hell, I wish I could have ordered radio delete in my GT, since all I really wanted out of the Premium was the porno red leather and better trim.

I don't need no stinkin' touch screen.....
