Owner loyalty thread with poll, how many mustangs have u owned?

Back in the day I had a 1996 Mustang GT....with the much loved 4.6L 2V!!! Haha.

That car was great though...I fell in love with Mustangs and Ford with that car.

I sold the 1996 Mustang GT back in 2005 for an F-150 SuperCrew Truck. I really missed the Mustang though.

I don't think I'll sell my current 2016 GT....or if I do, it will be for a new Mustang. I've found my automotive love in Mustangs.

Ive currently got two...both red (didnt want a RR 2015 BUT the deal was too good to pass up and I love it now). The 66 is my first car and currently has a turbocharged 200ci inline six, T5 and 8.8 rear. The 2015 is my current DD and I love it to death.



I had an 84 SVO the last year of college and sold it the year after. Was a solid car body and structurally but leaked every.single.fluid. All of them and was a mechanical basket case. Sadly I sold it and a month or two later got a commission check that would have rebuilt it without blinking.



Since it was long gone I picked up a 90 5.0 5sp Coupe. This is the one that got away and I miss it every day. I will have another.





Im a Ford guy deep down and have had numerous other Ford Vehicles in the driveway. Im even more loyal to the Mustang and look forward to having many many many many more down the road!!!

1st and last Mustang here. Not because I hate my car, it's awesome. I just like a bit of everything. I had a pair of Subarus, and now own a Mustang and Challenger. Next up I'm going European.

2004 Torch Red GT convertible - my first remotely sporty car, bought it shortly after basic training like a stereotypical boot and proceeded to wreck it a month later on a twisty CA road. Wish I hadn't, that thing was pristine...

2003 True Blue GT convertible - impulse buy to replace the '04. It was a turd in comparison and suffered from all kinds of issues. I later found out it was in an unreported wreck that did frame damage and probably wasn't repaired properly.

2012 Grabber Blue V6 coupe - traded in the '03 for this and got an unbelievable deal on it ($15.9k brand new). Took it on an awesome road trip from coast to coast, made my first ever pass down a drag strip in it, autocrossed it, and modded it quite a bit. Had intake, tune, Borla exhaust, MGW shifter, 19" wheels and tires, 3.73s, and a Boss 302 steering wheel in it. Traded it in on a 2003 C5 Z06 because race car (and because I'm an idiot).

-2007 Torch Red GT convertible - the C5 was even more of a turd than the '03 GT and I had to let it go so I went back to what I know and got this. It served me well aside from needing the alternator replaced twice and a new cooling fan. Had most of the basic mods, took it down the drag strip a whole bunch of times and had some fun on the Tail of the Dragon (even though it understeered like a pig)

-2016 Shadow Black GT - my current car. Love everything about it except the stupid 235s it came with. WTF Ford.

Of the five Mustangs I have owned [All bought new] My 04 Mach1 is my sweetheart followed by my 1969 428 SCJ/with Drag Pack Mach 1 So you see I have owned the first and the last Mach 1 Mustang.

First Mustang I owned was a new 1980 4 cylinder. It was by far the worst piece if crap I have ever owned.

As best I can recall, in order I/we got them;

1) 1970 fastback, plain jane 302 (got when I was 18, still have it.)
2) 1979 coupe, turbo four, four speed
3) 1973 fastback, factory 4v 351C, 4 speed, 3.91 locker
4) 1969 fastback shell (was going to make a racecar out of it but....)
5) 1969 fastback, drag car (still have it, my racecar)

At this point the exact order of acquisition gets a little fuzzy...

6) 1981 hatchback, 460, c6, 9" with 4.56 gear
7) 1979 hatchback, no motor/trans
We still have both these cars, and bought the '79 to put the drivetrain from the '81 in as the body on it is not very good. Both for sale due to too many projects, not enough time.

8) 1970 fastback drag car (still have it, my better half's racecar)
9) 2004 V6 auto
10) 1967 coupe, 289 auto. (still have it but would love to sell it, needs work.)
11) 2016 EB Premium, PP (my current daily driver)

I think that's all of them. :shrug:
