I've been thinking about getting PPF clear bra installed but I'd like to see what the front bumper looks like. The shop I'm talking to uses Xpel patterns and Suntek film. If any of you have an Xpel patterned clear bra, please post a close up pic of some of the edges on the front bumper. Thx

I am deployed and can't post pics but I do have my entire front end, hood, fenders, rockers panels, door edges and mirrors done in Expel. The edges are damn near invisible. I have used this on several cars and it is great. They use a plotter to cut it to exact shapes so it fits perfectly. I highly recommend it. Sorry can't post any pics but at lasted wanted to share my opinion.

What's it cost to have this done generally? Having a Black one I'm seriously thinking about it even though we haven't had any issues with the Black GS

Around 2500 for all of the impact areas covered, 4500 or so for a full cover. This usually includes paint correction and prep prior to install. At least that's what I've seen.

I had my full hood, mirrors, full fender, front bumper, and the fronts of rear quarter panels done in Xpel.

Turned out really good. Black car and no one would ever know it has the clear bra.

Paid $1500 for this done by a local shop.

Form the windshield forward, covered in Xpel ultimate. This was a custom install by a local certified Xpel installer. I recommend a custom install so you can't see the edges rather than a pre-cut kit.

Ain't that the truth!

I only put a couple hundred miles on mine before I took it in and there's a rock chip under the film now that just galls me! From now on, every new cars goes straight from the dealer to the Xpel dude.

And btw, your GT350 AND your garage floor are both AWESOME!!!!

I've had several cars get ppf "love" - worth every penny!

IMHO better to use an installer that does not do the "pre-cut" kit. On those applications, you can ofter see the edge of the film along the body panel seams (if you look closely). The installers that use rough-cut sheets and then trim to match the seams turn out better - they roll the edges of the seams and make the cut where it's less visible.

Some pics of my baby getting the Xpel treatment (the glossy Xpel is over the edge of the matt stripes in the pic because he hadn't trimmed it back and applied the matt Xpel on the stripes yet):
