I see everyone running the fuel pump boosters by JMS, VMP, etc.. Would it not be better to do a fuel pump upgrade. Lethal has a triple pump set up that looks like it would work great.. Please give input as to why people are doing booster's instead.. Price should not be the issue.. It is really not enough difference between a JMS Fuelmax and a Lethal CP-e triple pump top hat with triple pumps..

Is this not plug and play. When I look on Beefcakes site it seems to be a little more envolved.. I figure we spend so much on power adders that it only makes since to upgrade fuel systems. I drive my car.. I plan on driving and racing it..

Here is the link to what I am talking about.

I am also curious about fuel systems for e-85. What is needed what to look for who to go with, is there a newbie guide out there? Do you use your boost a pump with a new fuel system?

Triple pumps will hold LOTS of power. I'm running over 1300rwhp with my triple pump setup on E-85 in my 14 mustang. Now we might be adding boo

99% of people boost a pumps will do the job.

Pump upgrade always solves the problem, its just that it is inconvenient and costly way. I feel like back in the day, to get all the electronics working and stuff there was a good amount of wiring. I'm not sure what a pump upgrade entails now. I just know the pump booster exists because its a 5 minute solution for MOST basic FI setups.

I agree it is quick and easy to add a pump booster. A post I was reading earlier asked how many miles have people got on their fuel pump booster? I read a few going out within a thousand miles. Another guy said he has run his for 4,000 miles. I did not read anyone with 10,000 miles.. It can even be someone with a 11-14 car.. I really am curious if it is a safe reliable way to run my car.. I would hate to go lean on the big end and lose a motor over trying to save money or take the easy way out.

I think the problem is if the increased pressure cause issues on factory fuel lines.
A booster is easier to control.

Those pumps are for a return style system. so that means your doing a entire fuel system upgrade. the booster allows you to run stock fuel system to meet your needs with just a plug and play

^girls 15 has 15k on her booster, not sure what you're getting at

And with pumps there's much more labor involved, plus parts.

Fuel pump booster installed $750
Fuel system installed $4000

Price is definitely a factor. So unless you need the extra fuel, a booster will work fine.

Burned out my stock fuel pump in <1000 miles. Bought a stage 1 Fore setup so I could run E85. Installed should run you less than $2.5k. Now you have a return style system that can support lots of power and corn.

With price being a factor... isn't it also getting costly for most people to be replacing pumps much more frequently, with the BAP shortening the life span immensely? Not being smart here, I am genuinely curious. I know you stated that a member has gotten 15k miles with the BAP, but it appears that is far from the norm. This is why I haven't done a BAP yet. I do not wan't to go through a fuel pump every year or so. But maybe that is not the case..?

boost a pumps are band aids
band aids are cheaper than surgery

how much money do you have?
what's your aversion to scarring?
