Weird exhaust tone 2.3L

So I have a 2016 Ecoboost with Performance package. I have a magnaflow competition cat back with a mishimoto catted downpipe. Basically the tone of the exhaust has changed. It sounded really nice and loud, but eventually the tone now seems to have softened up. The cold starts sound weak now as well. What can be the cause? Can it be loose connections or any other part that might have caused the exhaust to soften up. Any feedback is appreciated.

Probably just broke in the exhaust. They have a break in period of about 400 miles.

Ditto what Ryan said.

The sound of any exhaust system will change after so many miles of break in.

So the sound you are hearing now is what Magnaflow intended their system to sound like, with the exception of any sound changes the Mishimoto down pipe may play a part of (unless the two were designed to work together for a specific sound).
