not sure where you got the “it’s been CARB certified since 2018 from...It isn’t literally plucked from the Bullitt. Yes, the throttle body is, but the calibration is not.

Just because the engine makes its best power at X RPM doesn’t mean the upgraded tune will make the most power gains at the same RPM.
With IDS, once you manually ID the car using either the rear tag, pcm’s p/n or VIN, you can flash the factory pcm calibration back into the car through the as-built menu.
I'm in the USA, so I don't know any dealerships in the UK. I'm sorry but that is literally step by step how to do it using IDS...Not sure what they are doing wrong. I have done it hundreds of times.
There has only been one revision, and it's been well over a year ago at this point. When you download the calibration you are getting the most recent file.
Really...? WORST case scenario, there is still 100hp delta between the NA car and the Roush car. Unless the guy driving the Roush has never driven a car before, and the NA driver is Mario Andretti, it won't be a close race.
