Curious on who here runs these events. What have you done to your car to maximize performance? Also is there any one that has claimed the fastest n/a 5.0 in the mile or 1/2 mile events? :)
I think if you want to get past the 480 rwhp, your going to spend 5k more to get 20 rwhp. Might be better to look at weight reduction modifications at that point to speed up the car and not the motor.
I didn't buy a gt350, because I wanted something with more hp and straight line performance. I have the money and could go get one now. Additionally, there is a lot to be said in a showroom, when you get to say you have the "fastest" or "most hp" car in the market. That sells more than "more...

So what's the next step. How do I get...
I broke the drive shaft and axles at the track on drag radials. Replaced those with DSS units, and then went for a drive on the street with stock pirelli tires. Which most of the time they just spin.
I've had the car for over 2 years and have been to the track maybe 5 times.
I did buy...
No. I went to the track last month. Snapped the ds800 axles and stock drive shaft bent. DSS sent me new axles and a new aluminum 1 pc drive shaft. Got it all put back together and drove it today. Drove around and then this happen.
Part of me thinks something was weakened in the...
LOL. Maybe.
I've been driving and racing mustangs for over 15 years. This is the first time ever, I've broken axles and a transmission. I've had supercharged cars with over 600 rwhp.
Oh and I'm on the stock pirelli's right now.. so it's not like it could have just broken the tires loose...
