It’s not your transmission is it? Mine will make like a pump noise now and then and I only can hear it at low speeds.

I have a thinkware u1000 with rear camera. 4K picture in front 2k in rear . Pricey but videos are amazing. get the CPL filter in the pkg, cuts glare. Fits under the rear view mirror and the rear camera is unobtrusive in the rear. https://us.thinkware.com/u1000/

Yeah I was wondering that too when I received it. There is a clear insert in that hole which illuminates red for the 30 heartbeats then extinguishes you you start the car. On our stock button that light illuminates the faint red ring. When the red light is extinguished you can barely see the hole.

I also have a 2018 A10 PP1, very responsive. I placed it behind the panel on the right side of the steering column and just use the Pedal commander app through my iPhon. Works great and can’t see anything.
