That statement probably accounts for the massive sales difference. The car with the looks and interior people prefer and more than enough performance to satisfy their DD needs is selling more than the more expensive track star. Go figure lol.
V6 1LE may be impressive on the track but not...
I don't have any comparison numbers for the SS vs GTPP but the online build and price confirms the $1100 difference in price. Seems this devolves down to the same point over and over. Stock for stock the Camaros are better track cars than the Mustangs. The arguments arise when you throw in...
Same could be said of the GTPP vs SS1LE. The base price on the lightning lap was around a $10k difference. The V61LE was around $1k less than a GTPP, base price. That's a real problem when comparing the two. Well that and the camaros obviously came focused to make good track times while the...
That's why I find funny about this thread. The camaros are great driving cars that I , and apparently many others, think are worse daily drivers than the Mustang.
Based on magazine testing, the stock camaros are the clear performance winners around a track. Drag strips seem much closer. People seem to forget that Ford engineers knew what they were doing. The reason the mustangs are slower around a track isnt because Ford cant make them faster. The reason...
I love reading the results from magazines and got a little sad seeing the V6 1LE was so fast around the track. It even beat out the GTPP. Then I remembered that I didnt even get the PP on my Ecoboost because I don't track it. I also didn't spend the extra money on the GT because I could get the...
I've been looking at the levels FMIC and I noticed it covers a good portion of the radiator. Has anyone experienced warmer engine temps due to the restricted and warmer airflow to the radiator. I assume the air is warmer after flowing through the intercooler and would be restricted by having to...
My best time is 5.3 seconds with my premium package eco, auto, no PP. I just put the car into track, regular D drive, and traction off (adv trac might have been off as well). I'll get a picture of the track app when I can.
Do you know if you can run the Cobb stage 2 with just the high-flow filter instead of a CAI? The only mods I wanted were a FMIC, tune, and CAI (or high flow filter if the differences are negligible). I'll also probably slap a catch-can and new spark plugs eventually.
I'm trying to decide between a FFTEC or MAP CAI or maybe just putting a higher flow filter on the stock box. I've read through the posts and it seems like personal preference between the two. I did see a post for MAP saying that the aluminum tubes produced higher IATs but I am not sure if that...
I just checked and Geico offered a lower rate than state farm by about $300/6 months for fairly similar coverage. I am not sure about Geico's claim service but it is a pretty tempting offer. Everyone else in my area seems to be around State Farms rate or much higher.
I have state farm and had both quoted out before I went shopping. The GT was much greater than the EB and the EB was a lot more expensive than my 2005 Hyundai Tiburon that I used to drive. I still get shocked seeing the 6 month rate on the EB, the GT would have been so depressing.
