  1. OIL Drain plug

I know a guy at work who had his GT350 out on a track day and the plug fell out. Of note, it was an aftermarket metal plug, not the OEM plastic. Not sure what brand. I have to wonder if the additional weight of a metal plug bouncing around and vibrating contributed to the loss of the plug.
  2. Tremec TR-9070 DCT video

An amazing piece of technology. 20 grand and an almost magical orchestra of moving parts. Sadly it kind of demonstrates one of the big advantages of electric.
  3. GT350 Engine Refresh - Part 2

Yea, that's all I've seen. There are a couple places that do it for big-rig engines and the process seems pretty established.
  4. GT350 Engine Refresh - Part 2

An unrelated question, but have you considered or looked into refreshing the plasma-wire transfer bore coating at some point down the road? Does anyone do this on the VooDoo? There are several places that do it for big-rig diesel engines, and I don't see any fundamental reason why it couldn't be...
  5. Limited-Edition Shelby GT350, GT350R Heritage Edition Package

Quote of the day. They are two different colors of white, and side by side they look different. And if you don't know which one is which, you need somebody to tell you. Regular OTT stripes are a $495 option. I was just asking if you get anything else for your money other than a specific color...
  6. Limited-Edition Shelby GT350, GT350R Heritage Edition Package

OK, I guess I'll be the heretic here, but white with blue stripes has been a pretty standard configuration since the 2015 GT350. Most of us would need a color wheel or cars parked side by side to tell the difference between WW and OW. Is there anything different between this and standard that's...
  7. 2020 Shelby Super Snake Review // 800 Horsepower GT500 Killer

Yes, very much. Looks like a different bumper and hood to give it a narrower look, more GT350 ish. Not debating the pricing, but I think it looks pretty good.
  8. "Mustang Mach E" Confirmed, Reservations Begin Immediately After Nov 17 Live-Streamed Reveal

Waiting to innovate while resting on your laurels and making money off what you already have is a good way to let your rivals eat your lunch. Let's face it, pretty much everybody is playing catch-up with Tesla. The way to catch up is to stop playing catch-up and start playing get-ahead. I've...
  9. "Mustang Mach E" Confirmed, Reservations Begin Immediately After Nov 17 Live-Streamed Reveal

The more I think about it the more perplexing this move is. Who do they think they are going to win over with this naming? Mustang fans are going to hate it, and non-Mustang fans are not going to care. They could probably get away with "Mach-E" without the "Mustang" name associated with it, but...
  10. "Mustang Mach E" Confirmed, Reservations Begin Immediately After Nov 17 Live-Streamed Reveal

Gotta agree with this. Not that they are idiots necessarily, but this was a poor decision. Why not call it the E-Xplorer, or E-Scape? Ford has established some branding with their SUVs all being "E" (Escape, Explorer, Expedition, Excursion). It seems much more logical if Ford had gone with the...
  11. Mustang "Lithium" Battery Electric Prototype Signals Future With 900+ HP / 1000 FT-LBS Torque!

In Texas sure, but not in California, where ironically there is a bunch of wind power, but they have to turn it off when it's windy or everything catches on fire. I think the point he's making is a sub-300 mile range gets you all over a European country, but not Texas, and if you are crossing a...
  12. Alternative Tires for GT350

I'm looking at going this route and looking for reasonably priced 19x10 or 10.5 wheels for a square winter setup. I was looking at the LMR SVE replicas and they all have a fitment note "Does not fit GT350 or GT350R". True? Any other suggestions for winter wheels?
  13. Looking to buy GT350 and need help

That is a question only you can answer. I would say that it comes down almost as much to color and options you want. A 2018 for $58K isn't much discount, but it's new and you're getting a fresh warranty.
  14. GT500's Carbon Fiber Wheels Are Superior to the GT350R's

GT500 carbon fiber wheels are exactly 150 GTs better than GT350 CF wheels.
  15. Looking to buy GT350 and need help

Good advice from 3star2nr. I would totally get a low mile GT350, since that's what I did. I got a 2017 used with about 10K on it (from the dealer). IMO used was better. Looked at the Oasis, no reported oil consumption issues (and I have had none), the car already had Xpel on the front bumper...
