IIRC, wasn't there a 15-17MY owner on here who fitted a GT350 front end to a RHD, white S550? Might be worth looking for that thread. If I were doing this, I would try to source OEM 15-17MY GT350 wings and bumper from Ford. I would also look to see if the GT350/GT500 was sold in any European...

You're spot on there. Removing the rear quarter would have been the very last resort. I'm just grateful I had the luck to find a good service provider. Waiting to get the car back from paint now.
