I was with Aviva when I got the car and they were decent, if a little more expensive. Trouble was they would only cover a maximum of 6 mods and they had absolutely no clue as to what each mod was. Have tried to get quotes from Admiral over the years but I also have an issue getting quotes online...
The supposedly reworked the suspension for export as they reckoned the domestic setup wouldn't work well on our roads, then there was the additional stage after production where the springs were allegedly changed - it showed up on ETIS did it not?
I don't remember it being too much trouble, but it was four years ago! The glove box bulb was a right faff however and the boot light lens was prone to breaking.
My front discs warped and rather than take the Ford warranty conflict onto a third front, and due to my intention to get more open wheels I went for the much more aesthetically pleasing EBC drilled and grooved discs and Redstuff pads. I'm not doing track days and reds are cleaner than yellows...
Runs down Mustangs on Top Gear then goes out and finds the most expensive way to own one...now he's concerned about noise pollution. Does he possess any thoughts of his own?
Dealer didn't mention the extended warranty to me either. Took out a FordProtect warranty at three years. I guess its a Ford branded third-party effort but it was relatively cheap at £11/month and seems to cover quite a lot. Who knows til I need to claim though...
Renewed at year four for same...
