The depin stuff didnt work for me in the RHD/Euro spec Ecoboost. Basically after whatever update Ford did to my car with the service last year, ive not been able to get rid of the engine sound or ANC interference.
Disconnecting the rear mic didnt work, and forscan using the guides on the forum...
Hey guys, so about 4 years ago i had the audio system done on my 2016 Ecoboost, it was done together with a professional installer (who used the wiring diagrams from the sticky in this forum) but I helped him use Forscan to disable the Active Noise Cancellation and Engine Sound Symposer since we...
Ids say with the stock tunes the issue is more the fuel quality and the car pulling timing and possibly also bad factory plugs.
That being said i also feel theres something not well understood that causes this on the 2.3L ecoboost regardless of the mods, my car does it and ive heard plenty...
I was informed about this new crate engine by my local Ford Performance centre.
I was actually quite suprised at the price, $6500. Thats around the same price ive paid for all my upgrades so far, and my car still has a stock block so that kinda stung lol.
It looks pretty neat and the block is...
Well, I think best thing until its known with 100% certain people stick to the exact part numbers for their car if the head gasket must be replaced.
If you need a stronger gasket, like you said theres aftermarket options and personally i think thats a safer option since the coolant passages are...
I literally just posted that link a few min ago.
Though before anybody claims its "incorrect" ive seen the differences myself, and you can go onto the Focus RS forums and theres entire threads with pictures showing the differences between these gaskets and also information on how the blocks...
You can call a cat a dog all you want these gaskets ARE NOT THE SAME i dont care that some online parts system claims compatibility even Ford made mistakes with this very part at the factory.
You still haven't told me why blocking those coolant passages is a reasonable thing to do ? Yet you are...
So explain to me then why it doesnt need coolant flow into that section when it initially did from the factory ?
Unlike putting the mustang Gasket on the RS, you arent going to have coolant bleed into the combustion chamber, but you are basically stopping coolant flow across the bridge.
In the...
LOOK AT YOUR PICTURES !
You are missing the holes for the cylinder bridge coolant path !
Its pretty obvious from the pictures that head gasket INCORRECT.

You are blocking the holes where...
Im very confused here.
You can clearly see that the gasket you installed is missing the central coolant line holes for between the cylinder walls.
Theres only one hole on the RS gaskets there, the Mustang has two.
This doesnt seem like a good idea AT ALL, unless somebody can explain to me how...
The reason the dealership does so many timing chain covers is not because its hard, its because the pre facelift Mustangs had a faulty process for installing the timing chain cover at the factory, which causes oil leaks to happen through and around the bolt holes.
You can have a timing chain...
Youre talking about changing the head gasket...on a high pressure turbo engine, and your biggest concern is getting a good seal on the timing chain cover ?!
When these gaskets are done at the factory, they are done at precise and even pressure application, consistent curing times, exposure to...
So is this a facelift ecoboost mustang thing or has it always been the case ?
Ive seen the gaskets myself and the holes are indeed in different areas so im very surprised to hear this.
Whats confusing me is that theres two types at Ford.
The Blue track pack dampers, and the black street pack dampers.
The black ones are supposedly the ones that come on the stock PP1 cars, which means i already have them (they are quite soft in the rear).
So it means Id have to get the blue...
