I had the same problem. With the stock stereo, I didn't mind the sound, it is very subtle. But after I put in aftermarket amps and speakers it was unbearable.
Even $150k cars do it. It is now the new norm, especially with interiors being so quiet now, for some cars it is almost a safety issue, you couldn't hear how the engine was running otherwise.
I don't like it, and I programmed it out of mine, but I don't hate that they do it, I get that for many...
Yes,
Took it back to the dealership and they found a bad wiring harness on the compressor and replaced it. Now I have Ice Cold AC just in time for Winter!
In response to my earlier comment about losing my A/C at the same time, it was just bad luck on the timing and had nothing to do with the change to the ACM.
That is what I thought. I am going to pop the hood tomorrow and see if the compressor is still engaging. There is certainly no cold air coming in the cabin.
I followed this Tune guide and only changed the ACM to turn off the Engine Sound through the speakers. Now the air conditioner will not turn on. Has anyone else experienced this? I double and triple checked it and it is correct by the notes on this string.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
