Ouch. For a laugh I did an Audi R8 to see how it compared and that was only £800 :shrug: Focus RS was about that as well.
Seems like the price won't be dropping as quickly as I hoped, perhaps because it's still "new" to the UK, or that replacement parts take quite a while or maybe NCAP hurt it.

I have the same issue as well. I can confirm that the socket stays on for 1 hour after the engine is switched off (it annoyed me so I decided to keep going out to check it every 5-10 minutes until I saw it go off.)

Heh heh yeah. I gave in and decided to get a diode dynamics set. The set from France was supposed to fit the vanity lights, but I was so annoyed with myself with blowing the fuse I didn't bother trying. They looked like a very tight fit though. Did you try putting them in there?
I think they will fit in the engine fuse compartment it's just these ones in the foot well are fairly new and hard to come by in the UK. When i blew mine I thought eh no biggie I'll get another from halfords, turns out they'd never seen them before :frusty:
