  1. Is Pitt Race or Mid-Ohio considered a high abrasion track?

Sorry should have clarified, driving style mostly. And at least 3.5° of camber!
  2. Is Pitt Race or Mid-Ohio considered a high abrasion track?

Years ago I corded a fresh set of PS4's just like you did. It's very easy to over drive the front tires at Pitt Race. I've changed my strategy and can get fairly even wear with regular rotations, but it still chews through tread.
  3. Is Pitt Race or Mid-Ohio considered a high abrasion track?

I've run many times at Pitt Race and can confirm it's HARD on tires. Very hard compared to Mid Ohio and Nelsons Ledges. I remember going to Mid Ohio the first time last season after the repave and noticing how smooth everyone's tires were thinking are these dudes just not driving hard or what...
  4. Slotting the strut for more camber

edit *I should have read the first post, lol. I'll leave this up regardless in case it helps anyone.* Curious why you didn't just drill the strut holes out? It's a much cleaner approach, and gives you more than enough camber without messing with slotting the struts and worrying about bolts...

Yes. I was on Steeda coilovers. You will need to run a decent amount of camber as well. It all fits just fine though, no rubbing at all.

  8. Ohio Sold: 2017 Mustang GT Premium, Lightning Blue, PP1, Recaros, 12k miles, $33k

Hello all. I’ve decided to list my car for sale. I will be sad to see it go, it’s been a fantastic car to me, and brought me many good memories. The new owner will be smitten, there is nothing not to love. I am the second owner who purchased it from a dealership with 750 miles. The story they...
  9. First track day

Yes, the organizer. I've been meaning to do one of those Reed Kryder events. Was it well organized? How many cars on track?
  10. First track day

That is a great track! Who did you run with?
  11. PittRace Pics

I was there last Thursday. It is indeed a great facility! What kind of times were you running? Great pics BTW.
  12. Front end feels different after larger wheels/tires

Does this happen regardless of the road surface? Like on back roads vs highways? When I had 305 cup 2's on the front of my car the tramlining was so bad I thought the steering rack failed. I doubt in your case anything is wrong because it occurred after going to wider tires, so I wouldn't be...
  13. Front end feels different after larger wheels/tires

Sounds like you are describing "tramlining". The tires sort of run their course following ruts in the road pulling abruptly left or right regardless of steering input. It's a common issue when going to big tires on the front of these cars. There are things that can make it better and...
