  1. help with wheels

Be aware most 20” will be heavier and also compromise ride unless you go fully forged.
  2. Any 15-17 owners AWE Touring cat back owners?

Fitment underneath, sits up nicely out of the way unlike some of the “cheaper” ones out there .. I lost 2” of ground clearance with the cheap one.

Overall happy. Fitment is very good if you get the right installer to do it ensure it’s level etc. Cold start gives a decent crack/bark. Loud deep under acceleration , bit more violent above 4000rpm when your on it. AWE use some of the thickest s/steel 16 guage I think so it contains the...
  4. new sound in rear of car.... I don't like new sounds!

  5. Another Review of the AWE Touring Cat Back System for S550 - It's Magnificent

So I bit the bullet and got the AWE Touring cat-back ( shipped to Australia ) here is a quick clip cruising at 100kmh or 62mph.. zero drone, you can just hear wind/road noise really and a slight burble... however Its a beast under hard acceleration and certainly turns heads. Its louder than...

I was going to buy one of these systems.. now I'm left wondering..
  7. Another Review of the AWE Touring Cat Back System for S550 - It's Magnificent

Ive had some success with this stuff.. you basically wrap the exhaust, probably around the h-pipe/under the cabin section and it helps to keep the noise ( and heat) inside the pipe.. it has glass fibre similar to muffler packing, kind of like building a muffler around the pipes...

  10. Wheel and tire upgrade advise - 19x9.5 & 19x10.5

have a look at my photo above, 275/35/19 has a very small sidewall and is a small tyre overall.. i didn't get it as it looked "odd" and was going to reduce my ride height and ride comfort too much.. I ended up with Front 275/40/19 ( OEM rear size) and Rear 295/40/19

So got this all sorted now ended up with - 275/40/19 ( OEM size from the rear moved to the front.) Rear are now 295/40/19, have plenty of sidewall "meat".. car sits a little higher but thats ok as i was scraping on some speedhumps/driveways anyway.
  13. Wheel and tire upgrade advise - 19x9.5 & 19x10.5

Yep I’m a regular on there ! I find a few discrepancies tho, Eg if you look at the difference in diameter in this calculation ,704-688=16mm, so the sidewall difference should be half ie 8mm yet the calculation shows 109-104=5mm So something not right going on there .
  14. Wheel and tire upgrade advise - 19x9.5 & 19x10.5

So this is how a 275/35 Conti looks next to a 255/40.. way too small !
  15. Wheel and tire upgrade advise - 19x9.5 & 19x10.5

no sign of the Conti ECS02 unfortunately, we are often 2years behind on new rubber. yeah lose 5-6mm of sidewall on the 35profile option , think I will physically measure them before I commit to fitting as actual measurements can vary between brands
