Sure - if you want to spend over 20 grand more for the same performance. The Red Sport is a heavy car, and a piggy back on a factory detuned 3.3TT is pretty substantial. I have no delusions though the ride quality is likely better and the features on the Red Sport.
So you figure retail would be going from 29-32k for it. Cheaper than 37-50 for the GT's and still get practical everyday power and use avg. about 23-26mpg. I might had thought about trading up for it if it wasn't for the Kia Stinger.
You also have to figure it's a tuners dream car. You can...
My Kia stinger made about 320 to the wheel with a 3.3TT. Bigger engine, more pistons, bigger displacement and only gets 320 compared to a 4 banger making 290 getting 26 MPG. That's impressive. Though with my current mods, I have it about 400 whp.
Pretty insane a 4 banger is making that much power stock. V6 TT's are making 340-400 stock. Though one thing confuses me - it has an RS engine. Every dealer and a lot of us were already under the impression the eco already shared the same engine but with a different head gasket? So the RS has a...
Good guess! Or the Genesis variant. I am planning to get it benched tuned to 393 whp and 455 ft-lb by pressertech in two weeks. And that is considered a mild tune from 326 whp.
The aftermarket is basically non-existent compared to the huge following Ford Mustang has. No flash software - you...
After just trading in my Eco - I kind of wish I started out with this. The price range is going to make all the difference though. I am anticipating this car to be at least 32-33k range. 10 speed auto, Performance tune, better cylinders, reinforced block, and a bigger turbo. The pro-tuners are...
With a stiffer chassis and possible form hybrid of AWD, it is very possible. On a personal note, perfect timing too since I will have my current stang fully paid off by then. Now I am rethinking trading it in for a GT.
Seems too quick! The Nimso next to it should had been running mid-13's stock. Should be very interesting to see what Ford Performance, Cobb, and others have planned for it. A sub 13' eco would be very enticing.
305 whp is still 45 more whp than stock that usually gets around 260 to the wheel. 45 is a lot for 93 oct. FP is about 25 whp at peek. Cobb stage 1 runs about 280 to the wheel and even the FP looks to have it beat under the curve and in particular after 5400 RPM.
