  1. Time to say farewell

Looks great, congratulations! Interesting that you went for the Supra. I sold my 30 month old MX-5 last September for almost what I paid for it and once the money was in the bank I went straight into my local BMW dealer and ordered a new fully-loaded Z4 M40i - I wanted another soft top. I have...
  2. Rusting bodywork

It took less time than I expected knowing how long some warranty claims can take to progress; I first contacted Ford UK in late December, the car went in for body shop assessment and photos in early January and Dinnages came back to me last week to take the car in this past Monday as the parts...
  3. Rusting bodywork

Update: my corroded hood (bonnet) was replaced this week; shout out to Dinnages in Haywards Heath who handled the entire process extremely professionally and have delivered a first class paint job. Also, thanks to Ford UK who recommended them.
  4. Rusting bodywork

So my turn for a bubbling hood now, on the nearside top leading edge and underneath. Finally got hold of Ford UK Customer Services via Twitter, they have directed me to Dinnages in Haywards Heath (closest approved body shop to me), inspection on 6th January. They (Dinnages) seem pretty clued up...
  5. Haynes Maidstone

My 2017 GT came from there exactly four years ago today, have always found them helpful and the few items needing attention (puddle lights, parking brake) have been fixed under warranty (5 year extended) without fuss. I have a service plan with them too.
  6. Age of Mustang buyers?!

    71!
  7. MOCGB ?

I'm a member too, joined when I picked up my 2017 GT. The magazine is good and for the fractional cost of a full tank of petrol, annual membership seems worthwhile. There are local monthly meets including my area (Surrey) although the Surrey ones (and I assume other areas) have been suspended...
  8. The UK S550 "spotted" thread

At Gatton Park open day today.
  9. Diode Dynamics interior lights

David, I used the DD kit but direct from them in the US on my MY17, I agree that removing the map light cover is a complete PITA - it took me ages using gentle persuasion to release it as it semed to almost come away then no further. It took me over half an hour (losing my rag towards the end...
  10. 6 month MoT extension

Car MoT validity is being extended by 6 months from 30th March: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-mots-for-cars-vans-and-motorcycles-due-from-30-march-2020 Mine is due its first one on 30th April so helpful.
  11. Mustang Photo Thread

At last some sunshine; a friend's 2009 S197 posing with my younger S550.
  12. The UK S550 "spotted" thread

Race Red S550 GT, RO16 VXC following me (in SWMBO's Focus) down Caterham Hill this afternoon.
  13. Tyre Pressure Question

Tyre pressure vary considerably with temperature, something like 0.2 psi for every degree Celsius, see this Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_inflation_pressure I have to adjust mine several times a year and yes, with a cold pressure of 32psi mine (Pirellis) increase to around 36psi in...
  14. The UK S550 "spotted" thread

Magnetic 2017/18 GT, RF67 LSE, this afternoon in of all places my road (which is a short cul de sac with only 15 houses) maybe he was lost? Went to the end, turned round and left.
  15. The UK S550 "spotted" thread

2016 GT vert auto KM11 LSY, black with silver hood centre stripe and wing mirror covers, followed me south along the A233 from Biggin Hill to Westerham then west along the A25 to Godstone this afternoon. Hood colour and stripe combination looked outstanding and nicely agressive in my rear view...
