Actually I have heard that too about hearing protection. Perhaps I should've gotten use to the noise instead. I love the sound of wind and crickets lol just saying, they don't bother me, but I know that was just an example you gave me. Yeah that is a lot of DB and that would probably upset me...

I definitely understand what you mean with the earplugs. I keep an earplug in my left ear 24/7 because I had surgery on my eardrum in 2009 because I had a big hole in it from all the ear infections I had growing up, but unfortunately the repairing of my eardrum made noise unbearably loud for me...

Really? Sorry to hear that. I always felt so alone with the sensitive ears thing. I wear earplugs because we could never afford the good quality noise cancelling headphones. Also I tend to get embarrassed about my sensitive ears, so my hair hides the earplugs lol! Thank you for the suggestions...
