OY VEY! Paying cash for a car? Dats crazy tawk!!
Aside from the interest saved, what you're really doing is removing $30,000+ from your hands in case of emergencies or, say, road trips. The car depreciates so quickly off the lot that if you have an accident, gods forbid, most insurance...
Every time I get a 911 to race me a cop pulls them over. Oh, well. I'm sure he factored that into its overall affordability.
I have a similar story about AMG coupes.
Oops, I forgot this is a GT versus M4 thread.
Those current non-owners hoping to get something they can take to wine-tastings are in for a rude awakening. This isn't a muscle car version of a family car. It's still going to be a Mustang... a bit raw and wild.
Let's face it, BMW priced out many of its followers. They tamed everything...
IRS and gas mileage? Wha?
Oh, my mistake. When you said you can't wait to see some of your buddies' faces it sounded as if you already knew how the car handles. So I figured you've already been in the car.
Somehow I don't see the forums becoming places where Mustang folk will talk about...
Accountants can't be car guys...
Dude, I am so envious that you got to drive a new Mustang! I imagine IRS makes a big difference but only you can tell me how much. Though I must say that the '99 Cobra did have IRS and nobody cried for it when it went away. Just like the '84 SVO had a turbo 4...
Welllllll...
Your faith in German reliability notwithstanding I don't see Bimmers that have aged gracefully for 20 or more years. I should check out YouTube videos of Germany to see if it's just because they're imports here. And there are few restored. That says a lot about its fanbase...
Yes. Cars are normally compared according to price brackets. The GT350 is the natural choice for the M4.
However, IF Ford nailed down the suspension and whatever it would just mean that the Mustang will continue to rule the streets of America and the hearts of car lovers everywhere (except...
Charlie's Mustang Ranch!
If I could afford a M4, I'd buy a Mustang anyways. But that's just me. If I'm going to throw away an extra $32k it's not going to be to get a more expensive car. It's going to be on booze and whores. :)
Well, when we talk about affording a car we mean the whole cost of living. Otherwise it's just buying a paperweight (M4) or an investment (LaFerrari) because you're not really going to drive it.
Yeah. I went to a local dealer and they didn't know the website was up yet either. So I figured I'd drop that in there just in case there were other... (ahem) dealers who don't know yet. :)
