Unless you have the climate controls set to off most of the time, the filter should be changed per the schedule in your owners manual or you can remove it and inspect it.

On a GM vehicle I sprayed the track the filter slides into with silicone spray so it would easily slide in.

You purchased the car new. What does the window sticker say? HP or not?

You have no pins protruding through the empty holes. What does your window sticker show, HP option or no HP option?

That is identical to mine. That is NOT HP setup.

I have used the UPR plug since 2021, no problem. I do notice UPR uses a double O ring. I'm curious if anyone with a Mach 1, not a GT350, different engine, has had an issue?
