That's exactly how it started in mine, then the passenger side went out.

The main issue I had was to hear the back I had to fade the sound 2 notches. Now that I have my GTO638s in I don't have to do that, but to me it didn't really improve anything... Just made it louder. Not sure with these cars if any speaker can really increase the quality without and amp.
