Not sure if it can be adapted but it seems the new F150 coyotes have ditched the gerotor a pump driven off the belt. Not sure why they didn't use a chain like the 7.3L. Belt longevity aside could this be better than billet pumps for high power builds? Sorry if this has been discussed on the...
Haven't been checking the forums lately but I made a thread about the car when it first got into the 8's. Anybody know what this car weighs? It been 2 years and I still have no idea lol
I have heard the 6.2 and the 7.3 have the same crankshaft dimensions, though I can't confirm. If true, a 7.3 crank in a 6.2 would give right at a 6.6-6.7L. Aluminum block with spray bores and 6.8L seems possible. I wouldn't even mind a 7.3 pushrod with a smaller bore, but if, and only if, Ford...
Impressive. Does anyone have an idea what the upper hp limit is for the stock GT500 motor yet? Has anyone seen the rods and pistons that are in the motor?
I started a thread about stick shift cars and it got some decent posts, but there are just so many more auto cars and they are running so fast thats mostly all you see.

There has been a bit of resurgence...
Balancer maybe? Perhaps a flawed crank? Some people just seem to break everything whiles others dont. Who knows. There is an entire thread about snapped crank snouts though. I definitely wouldnt say its the norm.
Mihovetz said he never has seen a stock cobra crank break. He ran 6.0s with a stock crank making close to 3000hp. The coyote crank is supposedly equal. The snouts are the main weak link if you hang a huge blower on them.
So impressive. I wonder if he can get into the 7s on stock motor. This and everything else i have seen reinforces my suspicion that the 2018+ coyote block is somewhat stronger in the bores. Anybody know how much this car weighs?
I have a set of Boss 302 rods and they are definitely in the 61Xish gram range. Usually 612g-618g. Right in the same ball park as the 2002 and later 4.6 common rods. I haven't weighed a set of Gen 1 coyotes but they are supposedly around 575g which is suppose to be close to early non cobra 4.6...
Congrats. Are you you guys sleeving the blocks at this power level? I hadn't heard much about 18+ blocks cracking but wasn't sure if anyone had pushed the upper limits.
The only thing I would add to the list is money for a built motor. 900whp with a blower on a stock motor is rolling the dice even with oil pump gears and crank sprocket. Not saying it can't last or that some people haven't had good luck with longevity but it is risky.
