I’m interested in what others in the know have to say about this. On some others cars I’ve owned, I used to pull the fuel pump fuse when I had to leave for extended periods.

I was in the same position in 1990. I had to trade in a SS Monte that I loved for a Dodge Caravan. It hurt, but was the right thing to do. Family first always.
I've had them approach me at highway rest areas with a story how they're almost out of gas and lost their wallet or whatever. Could I give them some money to buy gas to make it the rest of the way home. When I declined at least one time I remember one became agitated.

I used the BG kit from OP including the additive and was completely satisfied. The amount sent was perfect for the level fill. There is a little left over. They include a measuring cup to pour the left over into, so you can verify the unused fluid is the correct amount.
