Although I haven't used it myself, I've heard positive things about it as a product. However, you're pretty much guaranteed a poor job if you let the dealership staff at it. As you say, it'll either be a teen apprentice, or probably worse, one of the sales staff! Avoid at all costs, but no harm...
Pretty much what mine looks like at the mo. All this damn wind! Although my car is under cover, it's not fully sheltered from the sides and gets covered in all sorts of crap when it's windy :frown:
On another note, Happy Mustang Day to all!
I at least got to drive mine in to the office today...
Picked up and installed a new battery yesterday. The online retailer I ordered from was messing me around with expected delivery times (nothing to suggest it was out of stock when ordering), so I ended up grabbing one from Halfords.
Must be a placebo effect, but it feels like it just runs...
Had this battle in December. Annoyingly they are still cheapest by a large margin compared to where else I've looked (mainly via comparison sites). Also benefit from the multi car discount and home insurance with them too.
Indicators are oem, so the amber flashes through on the outer ones. In direct sunlight the lights don't show as well FYI. But it's never caused me a problem. There are darker red vinyls out there and I've heard of people being asked to remove them
I wish I could tell you where I got the 23mm...
GT101 just fit them, they were standard 23mm spacers.
For the springs, there is a night and day difference feeling on body roll, you'll know what I mean if you've thrown the GT around some corners! The springs make it feel a lot more planted. Ride is a bit firmer, but I think that can be said...
I'm on the standard Eibach Pro lowering springs. I got them direct through Ford, they were £150 which are a great deal, not sure if they still do them though.
GT101 in Essex did my spacers, from memory one pair were Eibach as well (not sure which though), and the other one was a different...
I agonised for a long time over spacers, I'm 23mm front & 20mm at the rear. Whilst the rear do technically poke out by a few mm (maybe 3-5), I'm super happy with it. I guess you could call it a flush look. Got hundreds and hundreds of photos so if you need a specific angle, I probably have it!
Huh, and all I got was a card and a Toblerone! Need to have a word with the missus :giggle:
Also spotted that one in Sainsburys, there was this one too with a nice 60's vert on it.
I finally unboxed the wet/dry vac that I got for my birthday a few weeks back. Remembered I got a tiny attachment kit years ago that didn't fit the vacuum I had at the time.
Took it for a spin and used this tiny brush to hit the dash, radio, buttons and all the tiny nooks. New levels of...
Thanks for the kind words, KB.
And thanks for the Amazon link, I've seen those before but have never pulled the trigger. It did also lead me to exploring other suggested items (as Amazon does very well), and ended up stumbling on to these recovery tracks. Multi purpose if I ever get stuck in...
I finally got time to do a wash yesterday. It was a basic one, just to smarten it up. Needs a proper paint decon, but that will be for another day.
Gravel was not too much of a pain in the end. I had more trouble with space, my pressure washer hose is not the most flexible, and a couple of...
Haha thanks, don't be fooled though. I'm very obsessive when it comes to cleaning, my "quick wash" is 2-3 hours! I'm getting some detailing supplies for my birthday in the week, so my next clean will be a lot more involved - been a while since I decontaminated the paint and added a good layer or...
