  1. Sadly Ford won't fix it.

Original poster indicates his Mustang is a 2016. I believe Ford extended the warranty to include 2016's, sadly not my 2015
  2. Sadly Ford won't fix it.

Semp1. Ford extended the warranty back to 16's. Does not include 15's. The folks talking about chips are off topic. This is a galvanic corrosion problem on aluminum hoods.
  3. Sadly Ford won't fix it.

thanks for your reply. Repair was a non issue as every body shop and dealer I visited indicated that the spot would return and other areas would likely pop up in the future. The real issue is screwing people who have invested in what they thought was a quality product with a manufacturer that...
  4. Sadly Ford won't fix it.

The final chapter on my 2015 hood corrosion problem. Just paid $2300 out of pocket for a new hood. Dealer scraped the bubbling paint off front and back, showed pitting in the aluminum. Re-submitted to Ford, got same response as before. No Warranty. Ford has made their bed with me...
  5. 11-17-19

Porsche exists today with the worlds best sports cars because of the Porsche " style inspired" Cayenne. If Ford wants to go down that road and make a ton of money doing it, good for them. It will only strengthen the brand. They can't ride on the F150 forever.
  6. Sadly Ford won't fix it.

Both dealers didn't seem to care about the new truck sale. I personally have known one of the salesman for years and he couldn't do anything. Crazy attitude because they do have funds available form Ford to help in these situations. They used them when the A/C crapped out 2 weeks out of warranty.
  7. Sadly Ford won't fix it.

Cobra jet, you are spot on correct. Owners of 2015 S550 Mustangs are screwed. Two dealers told me the same thing, both very apologetic about the situation. The fix is a new hood at $2500.00. I have already spoken with my wallet and refused a deal on a Ranger that I needed for my winter...
  8. Sadly Ford won't fix it.

5 year warranty is perforation only. 3/36 bumper to bumper. Just left the dealership after 2 months of hassle, no luck. Ford said no, dealer tried through their ford rep., got the same response. Problem cannot be fixed because it will come out somewhere else on the hood edge. required hood...
  9. Honestly, who prefers the GT 5.0 over GT350?

Case in point. last weekend road trip to Road America. I have a GT 5.0 and drove 5.5 hrs from Michigan. Quick, comfortable, 24mpg @85mph (except Chicago, the gates of hell). Brother comes down from Minneapolis, 5 hr drive. Arrive in his Cadillac. I say" where the hell is the GT350". He...
  10. automatic transmission lag and jerk

I think the real problem you are referring to is that in D mode, as the car slows to approx below 10mph, the torque converter disengages and the car is freewheeling to a stop. If you do not come to a complete stop for about a second, when you reapply the throttle the car lurches as the torque...
  11. engine braking disabled?

A little late reply, but I get your point. Would love to have the sport mode transmission shift pattern all the time without the ridiculous downshifting. That would make the automatic fairly acceptable
  12. 1 LED bar in taillight out

similar problem, except all rear left hand turn signal lights go out..Shut off engine and restart car, everything fine. Crazy electronic gremlin. Hate to have dealer tear into it. might make something else go haywire.
