That's a silly comment. I don't buy cars over MSRP. Rarely I'd even consider buying a car AT MSRP. Simple as that.
The hype fades and prices get reasonable for everything.
I have called a few dealers in SoCal and thus far the lowest price I've been quoted was $10k over MSRP on a regular GT350.
I'll either wait it out or not buy one. Markups are nonsense.
yep, just as I said earlier...this engine has curves VERRRY similar to the s65/s85. Impressive how much more power under the curve the voodoo puts out even against the s85 (since the displacement is similar)
another thing to note...those of you hoping buy a GT350 and get massive bolt-on increases should really look elsewhere. With that sort of powerband, 12:1 comp, and already over 100hp/liter there isn't going to be a lot to squeeze out left....unless you go FI.
I'm actually cross-shopping a GT350 vs an f80 m3. I know they are very different cars, but they aren't priced *too* far apart. The engine in the GT350 has a powerband more like my current v8 m3, which I love. But take a look at this overlay with the new m3's s55 inline 6.
It makes more...
hell no they wouldn't do that. The typical GT owner wouldn't like this motor to be quite honest. It needs to be REVVVVVVED. Plus Ford would never let their fleet mileage slip that bad by allowing a normal model to get such terrible mileage.
the powerband looks pretty much dead on with my e90 m3 engine...if you were to make my 4 liter motor a 5.2 liter motor. Similar torque curve, hp curve, redline...everything.
Props to Ford. The way a motor like this will pull is the stuff of dreams. Spine-tinglingly awesome. Anyone bitching...
