yeah, I was convinced I had a belt issue, smelled more like burning rubber to me. But took in and they fixed it and problem is gone.
I actually saw smoke come out of the front grill one night too so it was very hard to pinpoint without getting really looked at.
Sorry if this has been covered before but I really am not sure.
I was wondering if the seat backs on our cars are supposed to heat / cool? I know whenever I run the cool seats it feels like the seat back has the heat on. Or maybe that is just my imagination?
I would double check that battery, my taillights started to malfunction and so I started shopping for new ones. Then I read on here somewhere about a weak battery can cause this. Put in a new one and no more problems since.
And that is much cheaper than a PCN replacement. Probably worth it.
Electrical gremlins can always be a chore to trace. You could also have a positive wire that is heating up and shorting out. I would make sure all wires look clean and none are able to rub close to metal especially as it gets hot.
It wouldn't hurt to have a local auto parts store do a free...
Also, I had similar issues when I first changed my tires, I had 2 different ford dealers align it and still the front tires cupped and smelled. Now that I have put a few thousand on it, that smell is gone and the tire wear seems fine to me
