Prob a waste, no doubt. But I run in a hot area in summer, and like I said I drive the car hard and as a daily. If nothing else it makes me feel better. I didnāt exactly buy it to save money anywayš¤·āāļø
Iāve seen others say they also checked oil change frequency when researching these cars. As an anecdote, and sample of one, I drive mine VERY spiritedly during the summer and it is my daily driver. As soon as the oil begins to really brown, I take it in for an oil change. Usually a bit over 2k...
About to turn 26k in my ā18 and itās been great. Doesnāt burn oil and I donāt baby it. But I donāt do stupid shit like revving to redline to show someone the noise either. Keep the oil checked and changed it will be fine.
Now stuff like the A/C? š¬
I agree. I hav an ā18 350 (non R) about to turn 21k daily driven miles. Iāve checked the oil weekly since I bought it, and has not consumed any oil at all. Sat and Sun I take it on backroads and it sees redline often. Maybe Iām just lucky, but I doubt it.
Is this the R model only? My regular Gt350 absolutely closes the baffles upon depressing the clutch, and you can hear them cycle. I push it once, let the cycle, let out and depress again. MUCH quieter even on a multi-day cold start.
Love the looks of the car, the high-revving V8, pretty much everything about the performance. But, I friggin HATE the ādouble honkā when getting out of the running car.
Ordered MPSS thru Discount Tire and they just called with the great news that the rear 305ās for the silver badges are unavailable with no known eta. Great! They have the cup 2ās, but it rains here frequently and I daily the car. Anyone have a source?
Iām not categorically opposed to the cups...

Please don't take this the wrong way, but it's been a lingering complaint against the GT350 for some time. Many driver's who just aren't accustomed to driving a high rev motor feel more comfortable in the traditional, big American V-8, hence the...
No experience with the whipple, but my N/A 2016 stayed around 205 normally, and would get in the 220ās when idling in hot weather. My 350 is similar, although it tends to get hot quicker. Iām not a mechanic however. This is just my personal experience.
