My 18 did not start ticking until 18k miles. I run a shop in Georgia. I usually ran 5w20 and on the last oil change it ticked so obviously I was going to sell it for another C6Z. On a hunch I switched to 5w40 and added one bottle of Ceratec as we do to the AMG cars as customers request...

Bumping - 10/24

Installed one of his on my 18 GT (A10/JLT/PBD/Ported intake/Resonator delete) runs perfect - not a single problem - throttle input around town is much improved as well - no down side at all. Pulled negative cable, installed and let idle per instructions - no problems

Pull front clip then pull the grille. I had small dremel grinding stone and cut through after removing the horse then gently ran along on the inside grinding it out. Then sand lightly by hand tape off area and spray semigloss black

I've been driving with my unplugged all the time (DD) and no problems at all (last 10 days). It lets me have more fun. 18 GT A10
