Very interesting. Thanks for the insight. Back in 2019 or 2020, I did get a new Ford calibration for the transmission to address the harsh downshifting and lunge when going into Drive. That update improved pretty much everything, but the overall calibration is still nowhere near as good as the...
I haven't visited this thread in several years because I decided I wasn't in favor of the hot-air intake and the pre-detonation many have reported. Not to mention the fitment issues of the kit if that's still a thing.
But one thing that I'd still be interested in is the updated transmission...
Its about time Ford does something different. We've been doing the supercharged v8 halo car for over two decades. I'd love to see them give it a twin turbo v8 with all wheel drive and that DCT.
I'll take a C8 Z06 for the same money as this SC will be.
Had a random 50 deg day here in NJ so I took it out for the first time in over a month. Luckily rain from the previous days washed the salt off the roads.
Yes, very slight difference. To me the MPS4S felt a touch more crisp on turn in during spirited driving. But we're probably talking about a less than 5% difference. I'd gladly trade that for the improved ride and quietness.
Also we should remember the MPS4S that came with the PP1 from 2018-20...
The ECS02 is a great tire. I replaced my stock MPS4S with them earlier this year. It feels very similar, maybe a tiny bit softer. On the plus side, they ride smoother, are quieter, and seem to have just as much grip as the MPS4S, not to mention being cheaper and more available. As others have...
145mph on an empty highway during the peak of covid. It got up there so fast and was still pulling hard when I let off. It sucks Ford limits them to 155mph. I think they could easily do 170-175 stock unrestricted.
Edit: I'm pretty sure the V6's are limited to ~121mph due to driveshaft limitations.
