Factory PP suspension was *not* good.
I put Steed shocks and linear springs on my car and not only did it handle better, but it rode better.
Weird thing is, I put my GTPP shocks, along with some Steeda progressives, on my wife's base Ecoboost, and it made it ride better.
I just don't think the...
I live up here and my car is still in storage and we're keeping off the mountain for now.
Just last week they were plowing/salting the mountains (blood, unicoi). Yes, plowing. That's how much snow we got just last week.
Give it through March and we'll be good.
Only reason I know is because I looked up all the part numbers in order to do the swap on my wife's Ecoboost. The "upper splitter" for the PP2 is indeed a different part than the PP1 splitter.
I wonder if it has something to do with airflow in the engine compartment due to the PP splitter/belly pan.
Also, I would definitely try putting the stock thermostat in. Just to see what happens.
I expect exactly what happened with the S197.
You had the major re-design just before the Coyote, then for 13-14 you had headlights/taillights.
2018 wasn't a crazy redesign. Just a newish front clip and, rear valence, and taillights.
I can see them introducing a new front/rear next year, then...
I'm open to the used market, too. And even older bodies.
I'd say up to $1k for the body. But that's not to say $1100 or $1200 is out of the question if it's a huge jump from 1k to 1.1k if that makes sense.
I guess....it really depends where that really good "bang-for-the-buck" spot is.
I don't know for a fact, but I'd be willing to bet the PP2 isn't legal in EU isn't because of the wheels...it's because of the splitter.
EU has much worse pedestrian crash laws than US.
